Al-A'la Suresi

سَبِّحِ اِ۪سۡمَ رَبِّكَ اَ۬لۡأَعۡلَى

Glorify the name of your Lord, the most High

اَ۬لَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوّٜ يٰ

The One Who created (everything), then (fashioned and) set everything right

وَاَلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدٜ يٰ

Assigned (everything its) nature, then guided it along

وَاَلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ اَ۬لۡمَرۡعٜ يٰ

The One Who produces the fodder

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوٜ يٰ

Then turns it into the decaying scum

سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسٜ يٰٓ

(Oh prophet)! We would enable you to recite (the Qur´an). Then, you will not forget (anything)

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اَ۬للَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ اُ۬لۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفٜ يٰ

Except whatever Allah wills. Indeed, He knows the apparent, as well as the concealed

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡر۪يٰ

And We will make it easy for you (to adopt) the easy way

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ اِ۬لذِّكۡر۪يٰ

So remind (men), for reminder surely helps

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشٜ يٰ

The one who fears, will surely heed

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا اَ۬لۡأَشۡقَى

And the wretched will stay aloof

اَ۬لَّذِي يَصۡلَى اَ۬لنَّارَ اَ۬لۡكُبۡر۪يٰ

And then he will roast in the mammoth fire

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيٜ يٰ

Where he shall never die; nor be alive

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكّٜ يٰ

Successful has been the one who purified himself

وَذَكَرَ اَ۪سۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلّٜ يٰ

And, remembered the name of his Lord and performed the ´salat´

بَلۡ يُؤۡثِرُونَ اَ۬لۡحَيَوٰةَ اَ۬لدُّنۡيٜ ا

No! In fact, (most of) you prefer the life of this world

وَاَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقٜ يٰٓ

Although the hereafter _ (the life-to-come) _ is far superior and more enduring

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي اِ۬لصُّحُفِ اِ۬لۡأُولٜ يٰ

Certainly, this (is what) was (written) in the earlier scriptures

صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسٜ يٰ

The scriptures of Ibraheem and Musa
