What time is Fajr (Sahur) and Maghrib (Iftar) in Penang (Malaysia)?

Penang (Malaysia): Fajr 05:53, Dhuhr 13:07, Maghrib 19:07.

What is the difference between standard Asr (Shafi'i) and Hanafi Asr-i Sani?

According to the majority of jurists (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali and the Two Disciples), Asr starts when the shadow of an object equals its height (1x shadow: 16:29). According to Imam Abu Hanifa, it starts when the shadow equals twice its height (2x shadow: 17:25).

Penang (Malaysia) Karahah (Prohibited) Times

🌅 Sunrise Karahah (+45 min): 06:58 - 07:43, ☀️ Midday (Zawal) Karahah (-45 min): 12:22 - 13:07, 🌇 Sunset Karahah (-45 min): 18:22 - 19:07.

Which Prayers Are Not Allowed During Karahah Times?

According to Islamic jurisprudence and Diyanet guidelines, performing voluntary (nafl) and missed (qada) prayers during these 3 Karahah intervals is strictly prohibited (tahrīman makrūh). However, reading the Holy Quran, making dhikr, reciting tasbih, and making dua are fully permissible. Only in the pre-sunset Karahah, if the current day's Asr obligatory (fard) prayer has not yet been prayed, it may still be performed before the sun dips below the horizon.
