1

وَاَلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفࣰ ا

(I swear by the wind) that is sent in waves, and buffets gently

2

فَاَلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفࣰ ا

And the violent wind that raises storms

3

وَاَلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرࣰ ا

Then, scatters things around

4

فَاَلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقࣰ ا

And splits them asunder

5

فَاَلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا

And instills (in man) the remembrance (of Allah)

6

عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا

As a plea, and as a warning

7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعࣱ‏

What you are being promised, (the Day of Decision), will very surely occur

8

فَإِذَا اَ۬لنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ

(It will occur) when the stars lose their luster

9

وَإِذَا اَ۬لسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ

The sky bursts asunder

10

وَإِذَا اَ۬لۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ

The mountains (blow up and) crumble

11

وَإِذَا اَ۬لرُّسُلُ اۥُقِّتَتۡ

And when all the messengers are summoned (to bear witness)

12

لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ

Until what day has it been put off

13

لِيَوۡمِ اِ۬لۡفَصۡلِ

Till the Day of Decision

14

وَمَآ أَدۡر۪ىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ اُ۬لۡفَصۡلِ

And what do you suppose is the Day of Decision

15

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

16

۞أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ اِ۬لۡأَوَّلِينَ

Did We not wipe out the unbelievers of earlier times

17

ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ اُ۬لۡأٓخِرِينَ

We will make (the unbelievers of) the later generations follow (the same fate as that of) the earlier ones

18

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِالۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

This is what We do to the criminals

19

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

20

أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءࣲ مَّهِينࣲ‏

Did We not create you from a (tiny) drop of filthy fluid

21

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَر۪ارࣲ مَّكِينٍ

Which We lodged in a secure and stable setting

22

إِلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ‏

For a known period

23

فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ اَ۬لۡقَٰدِرُونَ

This is what We destined! How very excellent is Our destiny

24

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

25

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ اِ۬لۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا

Did We not appoint the earth to accommodate

26

أَحۡيَآءࣰ وَأَمۡوَٰتࣰ ا

The living, and the dead

27

وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءࣰ فُرَاتࣰ ا

And on the earth, We placed the high mountains; and We gave you sweet water to drink

28

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

29

اَ۪نطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

(They would be told), "Proceed now and enter (hell), the very thing you used to deny (so vehemently)

30

اَ۪نطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبࣲ‏

Proceed under the three-pronged shadow

31

لَّا ظَلِيلࣲ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ اَ۬للَّهَبِ

It neither provides the cool shade, nor lends protection against the (fierce) flames

32

إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرࣲ كَاَلۡقَصۡرِ

Indeed, it will hurl sparks as tall as a (lofty) palace

33

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَٰتࣱ صُفۡرࣱ‏

Which would look like yellow camels

34

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

35

هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

Nothing will they say that day

36

وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ

Nor would they be allowed to offer excuses (and explanations)

37

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

38

هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ اُ۬لۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَاَلۡأَوَّلِينَ

This is the Day of Decision. (Today) We have assembled all of you together, along with (all) the earlier generations

39

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدࣱ فَكِيدُونِ

If you have a trick left (up your sleeves), play it now! Outwit Me

40

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

41

إِنَّ اَ۬لۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلࣲ وَعُيُونࣲ‏

The pious ones (that day) would be amidst cool shades, fountains

42

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ

And fruits of their choice

43

كُلُواْ وَاَشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

Eat and drink, and relish your rewards! (It is yours) in return for what you used to do

44

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي اِ۬لۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

This is really how We reward the righteous

45

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

46

كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ

(Oh unbelievers)! Eat and enjoy (your possessions) just a little while longer. Indeed, you are the criminals

47

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

48

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اُ۪رۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ

When asked to kneel (before their Lord), they refused

49

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Misery that day is for those who (dispute and) deny (the truth)

50

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۢ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

So, after this (Qur´an), is there any other discourse they can (accept and) believe
